Ta da! I'm already 20~ =) My ex cgl couldn't believe it, she thought I was still 18. HAHA.. Maybe time past by so fast that we don't even notice it. Well, 20 is a fun year! =) So far... =) Got myself a job I really like and cny's harvest was great.. Bday celebration was great too.. and best of all.. *drum roll* I'M GETTING MY PAY SOON!!

And not forgetting I'm getting my results real soon. Rumours have it that it will be out next friday. Oh I had yet another dream about my results.. Previously I had a nightmare, I dreamt that I had DDE and 42 for GP.. BISH.... And recently I dreamt that I had CCD and short of ONE mark to get into Psychology course... Glory to glory... LOL.. Just some random dreams... Quite looking forward to get my results though.. Erm... So I can see my friends and take leave! =)

I gotta confess something...

I really love my job!!!!!!!

No wait.. why confess? Cos I hateD office work.. It seemed so mundane and lifeless.. But ever since I landed myself in Siemens (thank you Siemens waha), I realised I was wrong. I work in the HR department which I think is the most vibrant. Every now and then I get to hear juicy news about others. (I nv join in hor.) Just yesterday, there was a complaint about hankie-pankie btw 2 of our staff and the HR people were trying to figure out who were the 2 by the little description provided. Haha.. And I get to hear the reviews of interviews. Haha.. I can conclude 2 things thus far.

1) Nepotism is still very much alive. (It's a cruel world)
2) Your EQ must be good
2a) If otherwise, your qualification must back you up..

My work environment is unique I would say. The HR department has only 5 of us erm... and 4 are mothers. =) 2 of them just came back from maternity leave and 1 is heavily pregnant (literally). So during lunch they akways talk about motherhood.. Which ranges from diapers to mother-in-laws. =) So I sit quietly and try to absorb as much wahaha.. Motherhood 101 sia.

I like the things I do as well~~~ Though there're a lot of sai kangs but I still will do my best.. They are giving me more things to do now!! Which is really good.. Oh btw I'm no longer a receptionist cos I was only replacing someone temporary, which is really good as well. Recept is not that easy actually, gotta be on guard all the time.. So be nice to receptionists next time! Just leave them alone... Waha..

However, after doing some financial planning.. My cello seems so faint still... Nvm, I'm believing for a miracle! Talking about miracle.. A lvl results will be out soon too.. I am hoping for a miracle.. Gee.. I'm greedy. =P

I was in the train with a friend and suddenly my phone rang.. To my surprise, it was an agency calling me to go for a job interview in like 2 hours... So there I was all casually dressed up without putting on much enthusiasm and going for the interview...

Wahaha.. what a question to ask first. There was another girl after me who was competing for the same position. So I waited for hers to end.. The wait was worth waiting I guess (It was long la.) cos the agency person gave me a thumb-up and told me I got in.. *Oh! yay!* Thank you God~~ Have been asking for a job with a decent pay before Feb starts and I got it! Few more days to Feb only.. HEhehe.. But the thing is, I have to start work TMR... ( Life is unpredictable!! ) Gotta change my entire lifestyle sia.. Esp the time I sleep.......

Anyway, I'll be working for Siemens Medical Instruments Pte Ltd as Administrative Assistant cum Front-Desk Officer.. WAHAHA.. OFFICER! Thank you thank you... Actually it only means a humble receptionist la. Lol.. Yes! I must shine brightly over there! =) As a brand new chapter begins, I wanna write an exciting and interesting one! One filled with ups and downs and concluded with a good ending.

Anyway, I went for cello lesson today!!! It was back to the basics.. Gotta smoothen my foundation first, so it's kinda dry.. The teacher was patient with me though. Wahah.. I learnt how to hold the bow the cello way and how to play straight without the bow sliding up and down the strings.. =)!!! One hour passed in a flash~ Yay!! Getting a cello soon!!!!!!! = Getting into philharmonic soon!!!!!! Excitement sia....

People always laugh when I say that.. Hmph.. But I always believe that if we want something that badly, we can have it.. This is called 'stubborn in the things we believe'.. =)

My mum's really anxious for me to get a boyfriend. (err I'm still 19 lor..) She was more excited than me when I told her I was meeting a guy up the other day.. She told me her colleages have been asking her about me, whether I have a bf now. I believe she will announce to them that I went out with a guy the other day...

And CNY is nearing.. Great......

The harvest is plenty.. But the labourers are few.. WAHA..

Ok fine.. Seems like everyone's been working and I'm not.. and people have been asking me to get a job soon... Like what's the hurry??? Sigh.. I'm so determined to join the half marathon this yr! 21km! Gotta stretch my limits.. I wanna get that adidas shirt at the end! (cheapskate right) Been jogging lately and touching new grounds wahaha.. For me there's this threshold.. Once I past it, it almost seems like I can run forever LOL.. BUT most of the time, my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak wahahaha... We should all go jogging once a while.. Especially alone.. Cos it helps to take things off our minds and I donno.. Most of the time I don't think of bad things when I jog.. So it's really therapeutic..

OH and kailin learnt to rollerblade today!! We went to East Coast.. HAHA... A lot of funny incidents happened.. Like how we forgot to take the essential stuff (money and water) out of the locker but instead left the non-essential stuff (slippers and towel) outside haha!! (Check thoroughly before pulling out the locker key next time)

Hmm.. East Coast is a nice place to jog especially when there are other joggers around.. Somehow you will feel motivated to keep running.. LOL.. You will know when u run there.. LOL..

Fuhua reunion! So glad to see all of them again! It's been years since I last saw them haha.. Everyone's still pretty much the same though.. But better looking haha.. This was taken on NYE though haha.. I miss Fuhua! A humble neighbourhood school where I felt right at home~ I don't remember studying actually.. Went to school only to eat sleep play and laugh haha!!

One thing I like about humble neighbourhood schools is the people.. Not too many stuck-ups around.. Everyone's friendly and warm.. And we can truly be who we are. Not in some branded schools where people have to live up to the brand and be somebody else..

We don't have to say 'smart' things to be accepted. Or whatever 'cool' lingo they invented which nobody else understands..
Like recently I experienced a little 'culture' shock right here in Singapore.

Me: *excited* I wanna eat again (a type of sweet) ! Cos I like to hear the pop sound in my mouth!

So what is supposedly a 'smart' thing to say? I doubt what that person said was any smarter.. But in situation like this, normally I will just shut up cos I can't be bothered to compromise and say 'smart' things just to prove that I have a brain.. My oh my... Sometimes it seems really difficult for people to live simply huh? (What an irony.)

I'm really glad to be spending my new yr with my dear girlfrends~ They are like the nicest people around~ =) we can share about whatever issues concerning guys, friends and family or whatever u name it and they are so understanding~~ So I'm gonna say it again, let's grow old together! =)

AHHHH...... Have been really occupied recently.. I long to have a day when I can just slack at the library with a good book.. Went carolling at Cheshire Home this afternoon, it's a place for the severely disabled.. Quite a good experience.. Weiying came to fetch me to her house for christmas party after that.. What makes a good leader? Since the word 'good' is subjective in the first place, there are many definitions to that. In my opinion, a leader is a reflection of the conditions of his/her team. In other words, how well a team is doing ( both inwardly and outwardly) depends on the leader. A 'good' leader should create an 'environment' where members can fearlessly make mistakes and willingly learn from them. In the case where mistakes are unpardonable, creative juice runs dry.. And it's not due to members being dull but rather too afraid to think out of the box.
Too many a times, we see members doing things out of the fear of their leaders instead of doing them simply because they want to.. and it makes me wonder if this is 'heathly' cos in the long run, things may turn ugly..

A good leader doesn't have to make him/herself distinguish from the rest and be treated as the 'high and mighty' cos members will naturally respect the leader and carry out his/her instructions cheerfully without viewing them as commandments.. However there is only so much a leader can do, to be able make a big significance, it largely depends on the combined contribution of individuals. Thus, it's not always 'I want it my way' but rather 'What can I do for them'..

I have many leaders in my life, be it in school or church. But one leader stands out most distinguishly and that is JinLian. And while writing the above I was actually referring to her.. (I mean all the good points la. Haha) She's not authoritative, yet people under her will do what she says without being compelled to do so.. She is strict when required to but her members know that she does that only because she wants us to learn.. She doesn't mind that we tease her or 'play' with her and that will make us feel at ease with her..

So in my opinion, she's my definition of a good leader. =)

Have been going out everyday after my trip.. Money's running out though haha.. Cai's helping me ask for a job at Planet Fitness (frontdesk only la..) Pay's not bad.. And you get to see good looking people everyday waha... Went out with her and xiao li ytd to sentosa!!! Wanted to revive my white skin but the sun wasn't out!!! Ended up playing with DaRen and his group of army guys.. HAHA.. A bit shy also but enjoyed myself greatly..

Had to leave early to chiong for carol prac.. It was full-dressed rehearsal ytd and everyone looked awesome! (Check out the ladies' attire! waha) The whole place was filled with joy with our colourful tops, happy carols and smiles! Will be performing this sat 9:00-9:30pm and 10:00 to 10:30pm at vivo (near Food Republic).. AAHHHHHHH..... Like totally excited! =)!

What a day~ Went for choir prac in the morning and we practiced for hourss.. Full-dressed rehearsal's on wednesday.. I think our 'uniform' is really cool.. (but mafan to get)

Met steph at jp for dinner and she actually did a $60 pedicure.. Goodness la but it's nice la.. Came to my house after that to borrow my slippers hahaha.. then she sort of meddled with my piano and in the end decided to worship God together!! It was such an experience... We were singing and praying and God's presence was so strong I cried~ That was truly a precious moment I will never forget.. Awesome.. What an encouragement for me..

(fully sponsored by jeff's godmum) 4 more days to go and i'm pok already hahaha... Weather's freezing today but shiok la. Ate a lot for dinner again.. and am joining cai for her 'abortion' programme when i reach sg.. (abort the fats)

I guess absence really does make a heart grow fonder.. argh....... so silly...　ok ok gg to sleep now..
